Linen, a material loved for its properties as a summer companion - breathable, light, and protects you from the heat on hot days.
It took a long time to include linen among the materials we work with. And that's because we wanted to find the highest quality and the most comfortable. Our regenerative linen, from France and Northern Belgium, comes from a company with a leading position in Europe and a century-old tradition. The final material holds the Masters of Linen and Oeko-Tex 100 certifications. The factories where the linen is processed and dyed are powered by green renewable energy. This is complemented by the high-quality local processing by our seamstresses and honest accessories such as organic threads and corozo buttons. So you can look forward to enjoying our linen pieces not for one but several seasons.
How to style linen?
We produce our linen Befriend the Sun shirts and shorts in two neutral colors - vanilla and black. This makes them easily combinable and you can wear them all year round, not just in the summer seasons.
Sophisticated linen
Don't be afraid of linen when choosing an outfit for more elegant events. Our linen shorts have the ideal social length, higher waist and ironed pleats. They are suitable for events such as horse races, summer parties, or weddings. Combine them with high-heeled sandals, our Befriend the Sun linen shirt and an accessory like a hat or distinctive jewelry.
Don't be afraid of layering
A quality shirt is the foundation of a wardrobe, and linen can be an ideal update to the classic cotton. In summer, combine the shirt with a simple body and shorts, it will also look great just thrown over a dress - for example, our simple Raw Cut Dress. In cooler days, combine with a cardigan for a more casual look and a blazer for a more sophisticated one.
Tone in tone X colored accessories
A whole look in the color of vanilla ice cream on hot summer days, or a more sophisticated all-black look in the summer with shorts and in winter with wide pants? If you are a minimalist, you will love the tone-on-tone outfits. If you like to play, add bold accessories to neutral colors such as fanny packs or handbags.
Combine materials
Don't be afraid to combine different materials. The linen shirt will stand out beautifully with a cotton pencil skirt or tencel pants. In winter, you can exchange tencel for wool. For a more casual look, pair the shirt with cotton sweatpants, ideally our Be Kind ones made of undyed organic cotton.
