transparency is an integral part of a sustainable future

Story.

The Airy Lines Lyocell shirt and trousers set was introduced as part of the Autumn 2024 drop. It is the very first ADVA piece ever made from organic deadstock. Read about where the material it is sewn from comes from and how it is processed.

Tencel is processed from wood pulp. The wood used for production comes from FSC-certified forests and sustainably managed forests. The certified forests from which the wood for our production is harvested are located in Austria and the Czech Republic (Paskov). The raw material is processed in Austria.

Textile production takes place in a unique closed-loop process. This solvent spinning process recycles water and reuses the solvent with a recovery rate of over 99%, thereby minimizing the environmental impact of the fabric production process. The textile is manufactured in Portugal.

The resulting fabric is compostable and biodegradable, so it can fully return to nature. We sourced this deadstock Lyocell material from our supplier in Germany.

Recycling.

There are several options to extend the life of the product. In addition to gentle care, you can resell the product, exchange it with your partner or resell it.

If the product is in a condition where this is no longer possible, please recycle it. The most ideal way to do this is to cut the garment into narrow strips and take it to a local recycling center. In the case of GOTS certification, it is also possible to use your own home compost.

If you don't know what to do, write to us at shop@advastudios.com and we will advise you.
